Senior Movie Night in the Park

When:  Tuesday, August 24, 2010 Wheelchair Accesible


Featuring “That’s Entertainment” with Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly and directed by Jack Haley Jr. Join us for a night out in the park! Bring your friends, family, blanket and a picnic basket to enjoy live entertainment, free popcorn, and an outdoor movie.  

Resource Fair 5pm – 7:30pm
Opening Act—The Sounds of Rayvis (Elvis) 7pm
Raffle drawings— 7:45pm Movie starts at dusk (approximately 8pm) This event is Disability Friendly.  Bring dinner and drinks, blankets and/or chairs for seating and make this an “oldfashioned outdoor movie” event.

5th Annual Portland Brain Tumor Walk

National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) is a nonprofit organization that brings together the best in brain tumor research and supportive patient services.  NBTS will host a special upcoming event in Portland for people dealing with brain tumor disease.

When:  Saturday, August 28, 2010; registration 8-9 AM; program & activities 9 AM - Noon.

Fees:  $50 for adults; $25 for ages 6-17; free for ages 5 & under.  Fee includes food, beverages, and full access to event activities.  Pre-register to receive an event t-shirt.

Historic Uptown Village Presents It's 2nd Annual First Firday Event: CRAFT IN THE VILLAGE

Vancouver’s Historic Uptown Village announces that it’s 2nd Annual CRAFT IN THE VILLAGE will take place on every First Friday between May - September from 4pm to 8pm. (May 7th, June 4th, July 2nd, August 5th and September 3rd.)

Musicians, Artists, Crafts and Food vendors will set up on the sidewalks while many merchants will host special sales and entertainment for the event.

It is a FREE and FUN way to get out and explore a great neighborhood shopping district with friends and/or family.

The Uptown Village is located just North of downtown Vancouver, centered around Main Street between Mill Plain and Fourth Plain Blvds.

Oregon Dog Rescue adoption events take place every Saturday from 11:00 am-5:00 pm at TualatinPETSMART! You can read about Oregon Dog Rescue, upcoming events and the dogs on line at www.oregondogrescue.org
